What can you do on this portal?
Use this portal to access available Planning and Public Works permit applications, submit drawings and required documents, review application forms and submittal requirements, track pending applications and issued permits, and pay permit fees online.
Before submitting an application, create an account or log in to your existing account. Review the department information below to confirm the appropriate permit type and submission requirements.
Building & Safety services are currently undergoing beta testing. All building permit applications must continue to be submitted in person at Placentia City Hall until testing is complete and online submissions are available. Although certain features may be visible in the portal, they may not yet be operational. Online services will be introduced in phases, beginning with simpler permit types.
Access code: During account registration, you may be asked for an optional access code. This code links your portal account to your individual contact record in the City’s permitting system and may apply to any department. If you need an access code, contact the department handling your application.

PLANNING DIVISION

Site Plan Reviews

Tentative Tract and Parcel Maps
Sign Plan Reviews
Home Occupation Permits
Other Planning entitlements
Before applying: Contact the Planning Division at (714) 993-8127 to discuss your project and confirm the appropriate permit type or types.
Submission deadline: All required submittals and full payment of application fees must be received within 48 hours of submitting your application. Otherwise, the application will be automatically cancelled.
BUILDING DIVISION
Permit applications: Submit all building permit applications in person during beta testing. Additional permit types will become available online as testing and implementation progress.
Inspection requests: Only individuals listed on an issued permit may request inspections. When creating your portal account, use the same contact information provided at permit issuance.
The general contractor, owner-builder, or authorized representative must:
Ensure the work is complete and ready for inspection.
Be present to accompany the inspector.
Coordinate with subcontractors to address any corrections.
Re-inspections may be scheduled once all corrections have been completed. Ensure the property address is clearly visible.
